Կենդանիների պաշտպանության համաշխարհային օր / World Animal Day

Սիրելի Ընթերցողներ, սրտանց շնորհավորում եմ Կենդանիների պաշտպանության համաշխարհային օրվա առիթով:

Սիրենք, հոգ տանենք և պահպանենք վայրի բնաշխարհը: Երկիր մոլորակը ոչ միայն մեր՝ Մարդկանց, այլև Կենդանիների բնօրրանն է: Նրանք մոլորակի վրա ապրում են մեզանից շատ վաղուց, և մենք պարտավոր ենք պահպանել նրանց՝ հանուն մոլորակի բարօրության և ներկա ու ապագա սերունդների՝ երջանիկ, լիարժեք ու ներդաշնակ կյանքի:

Ամբողջ աշխարհն այս օրը՝ հոկտեմբերի 4-ին, նշում է Կենդանիների պաշտպանության համաշխարհային օրը (World Animal Day) կամ ուղղակի Կենդանիների համաշխարհային օրը: Այն ընդունվել է 1931թ. Ֆլորենցիայում անցկացվող բնության պաշտպանության շարժման կողմնակիցների միջազգային համաժողովում:
Կենդանիների պաշտպանության կողմնակիցներն աշխարհի տարբեր երկրներից պատրաստակամություն հայտնեցին այդ օրը զանգվածային բազմաթիվ միջոցառումներ անցկացնել՝ հօգուտ կենդանիների պաշտպանության:
Արևմտաեվրոպական շատ երկրներում համարվում է, որ տնային կենդանիներն ընտանիքի մի մասն են և ունեն իրավունքներ, ինչպես մյուս անդամները:
Ընտանի կենդանիների թվաքանակով առաջին տեղում է ԱՄՆ-ը, երկրորդ տեղում՝ Ռուսաստանի Դաշնությունը, որտեղ ամեն երրորդ ընտանիքում պահում են իրենց փոքր ընկերներին:
Վերջին տարիներին Կենդանիների համաշխարհային օրվան նվիրված միջոցառումներ են տեղի ունենում աշխարհի ավելի քան 60 երկրում:

on the World Animal Day!

World Animal Day is celebrated each year on October the 4th. It started in Florence, Italy in 1931 at a convention of ecologists. On this day, animal life in all its forms is celebrated, and special events are planned on locations all over the globe. The 4th of October was originally chosen for World Animal Day because it is the feast day of Francis of Assisi, a nature lover and patron saint of animals and the environment. Numerous churches throughout the world observe the Sunday closest to October the 4th with a Blessing for the Animals.
However, World Animal Day has now gone beyond being the celebration of a Christian saint and is today observed by animal-lovers of all beliefs, nationalities and backgrounds. Animal blessings are held in churches, synagogues, and by independent Animal Chaplains in parks and fields. Animal rescue shelters hold fundraising events and open days, wildlife groups organize information displays, schools undertake animal-related project work and individuals and groups of friends or co-workers donate to animal charities or pledge to sponsor a shelter animal.
In Argentina it is celebrated on April 29 as a tribute to the death (in 1926) of Dr. Lucas Ignacio Albarracín. Albarracín was, along with Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, one of the founders of the Sociedad Argentina Protectora de Animales (Argentine Society of Protection of Animals) and the proponent of the National Law on Protection of Animals (No. 2786).

Всемирный день защиты животных или просто День животных (англ. World Animal Day) — международный день призванный обратить внимание человечества на проблемы остальных обитателей планеты Земля. Эта дата отмечается ежегодно 4 октября.
Отмечать этот день было решено во Флоренции (Италия), в 1931 году, на проходившем там международном конгрессе сторонников движения в защиту природы.
Дата проведения всемирного дня защиты животных была выбрана не случайно. 4 октября — день памяти о Франциске Ассизском (умер 4 октября 1226 года), одном из самых почитаемых в католической церкви святых. Франциск Ассизский считается у католиков покровителем животных, поэтому участники конгресса и остановились именно на этом дне.
Идея проведения подобного дня прижилась по всему миру и в 2008 году различные мероприятия, посвященные этой дате, прошли уже в 66 странах мира.
