Translate this Blog

Dear visitors and permanent readers from abroad,

First of all, I have the honor to thank all of you for visiting My blog. I highly value the attention of every visitor and deeply appreciate the sincere and warm friendship between us. Thanks for the time you often spend here.
Dear Friends, I would like to tell you something important and useful for the further use of this blog. You have already noticed that from the beginning of June 2012 I have started to translate all my recent blog posts into English. Of course I’ll continue my efforts in translating, trying to do my best. I always try to provide the translation into English as proper as possible.
Though the older materials still (mainly) stay in Armenian, you also can translate them word to word into your native language with the help of:

A) the “Free Website Translations” button (tool) which you can find in the below right corner of the blog’s homepage,
B) by means of country code buttons below each post or page of the blog.

A) How does this tool work? Copy the main link of this blog (http://arlenshah.wordpress.com) or a link of any page of this blog, then click the “Translation” icon, there opens a page, select the language of my website (Armenian), select the language you would like to translate into, paste the link into the window “Website” and then click “Translate!”. You will see the translated page and the other pages.
Dear all, I would like to mention again, that this is not an academic or professional translation of the text. This is only word to word translation and many of the words may not find their proper and exact translations into your native language. At the same time, this is a widespread common tool in the Internet which gives you an opportunity at least to get the main meaning of the text, to understand in outline (generally) the main essence or the basic content of each blog post.
The Google Translate explains this tool in this way: “Currently, machine translation is not accurate and professional, so this feature is Google Chrome helps to understand the general meaning of the page only and the value of individual words. But this function is unlikely to be useful in the translation of poetry and texts with complicated grammar or technical terms”.

B) How do these buttons work? Just click on them and start to read my whole blog in your native language. It’s easy and comfortable. Enjoy it! I have selected several countries’s flags (trying to note the most widespread languages of the world as well as some rare ones) and put them in geographical order (from the West to the East). The quality of the translations is the same as in A) cause this is the same tool.

Dear Friends, I hope you’ll find these two innovations (or these two novelties) useful as they make my blog more accessible for all my respectful readers in abroad.
Thanks much indeed! Continue to follow My blog.

Best regards,
Arlen Shahverdyan

Hi Arlen. I just stopped by to thank you for “liking” my recent blog post. It always gives me a lift. So, thank you. :)

I am in love with the image you have on your home page here! And the “wonder” to me of finding the Armenian text, as well, and then discovering you are so beautifully fluent in English, too. I am impressed! I’ll come back again to peruse. All best to you!

  17. Riba says:

    Oops. I lied. :)

I must have been on a separate blog post page. It wasn’t the home page image, though it’s striking, as well. It was the one with all the colored fabrics hanging and the reflections and the person strolling through it all. Stunning!

  18. Great work translating Arlen! Thank you for stopping by my blog. I look forward to your posts.

Unfortunately there are not like buttons below your posts.

      Arlen

      • Hi Arlen:
Yeah! Thank you for following my new blog.
There is a little hand below each post that is supposed to be a like button, it looks different than your like button because I’m using wordpress.org instead of wordpress.com.
If that doesn’t work, you’ll have to leave me comments if you like something (which I would prefer anyway. It’s always great to hear what others have to say.)

      • OK :) enjoy your new blog and congrats! :)

  45. Hi, thank you for visiting my blog and liking my posts. Do you struggle with a food allergy yourself? Are you interested in visiting New Zealand? I am very impressed with your blog, your poems are lovely and it is very difficult to translate Armenian to English but you do it very well. I also write poetry but I usually keep it private in a little book I have at home because a lot of the poems are about my amazing husband and our love. I also write plays and teacher’s guides as I am a high school Drama teacher. I love to write and I can see you do too. Again thank you for visiting my blog and in turn introducing me to yours.
